I first got into anime ages ago, around fifth or sixth grade, by my cousin. He'd been an anime fan for a long time and got me into it. At that time I watched Sailor Moon, G Gundam, DBZ, with a tiny little bit of Digimon (series... 1 or 2) on occasion and a bit of Dragon Ball on occasion.
As time passed I found myself getting into even more series, such as YuYu Hakusho, InuYasha, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Evangelion and whatever else would so happen to be playing on Toonami or Toonami's Midnight Run. It was around this time I started reading manga.
The first manga I really liked was Tenchi Muyo. My first three manga books were from that series. Following that came Magic Knight Rayerth and Fruits Basket and a whole bunch of other stuff following (a lot by Clamp back in the beginning).
By now I'm into a lot of anime, ranging from Comic Party to Bleach to Naruto to Witch Hunter Robin. As for manga, I like a lot of series of that too.
My cousing started me off in drawing too, about a couple of months after I started watching anime I decided I wanted to draw it. He got me started, he taught me so much. He'd come to my house and we'd draw, and I'd go to his house and we'd draw. He'd tell me what I was doing wrong, and what I was doing right. He'd give me corrections to make and give me critiques. I'm eternally grateful to him. Without him I'd never be this far.
My dream for years was to become better than him. For that dream I have worked very hard at something I loved, drawing. He was always better than me and I always admired his artwork. Finally I've surpassed him in skill when concerning anime and manga drawings. He's better than me at other aspects of art though (like colleges... which I HATE doing by the way).
